As far as I know the sportiva was a standard 1.5ie with a few bits bolted on (rear spoiler, different wheels, sunroof etc) to make a limited/special edition. Alot of manufacturers do it, quite often towards the end of a models production or just to get them moving out of the showroom a bit quicker. Theres some more about it in a post on alfaowner.com Here: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-33-sud-and-sprint/40876-33-sportiva.html
I agree with Ian, I think the Sportiva was a jazzed up 1.5IE - I thought they were all white though, but your red one has just blown that idea out of the water!!

Post subject: 33 1.5 IE Sportiva
Thanks Bobber I think I may have to go and see it !
But what am I looking for ?
I know the Dutch Imola 33's looked different. They seemed lower and had a different interior.
Nobody know where I can get info about Sportiva RHD model ?

Post subject: 33 1.5 IE Sportiva
I work in Cyprus occasionally during the year and I run a 1992 (RHD) 33 1.5 IE Sportiva (locally imported from Italy by Alfa importer).
It does not have a Catalyst and I can't find anything that would suggest it is different from a standard IE.
Was the 'Sportiva' available in UK and does anyone know anything about them ?
Thanks
Dino
