55!! how do you drive? I would say meet up and try each others car out, but after blowing me out at the cruise  . If your about tomorrow night il be around Halfords about 20:30, but i wont hold my breath 
Paul I thought that toeing inwards would give better grip, coz toeing out in the wet i got no grip and serious understeer. I understand that front wheel drive cars pull with the front wheels and when accelerating the front will lift up and therefore start to toe in slightly. I was advised to set toe to 0 on a lowered uprated springs/shocks setup, so that when driving it would start to toe in slightly. After all this there is still the tyre roll  |

You want toe out between 2 and 4mm (not 0). More will heat your tires up quickly and give better turn in, (I think racers use up to 7mm?) but will wear your tires out quick.  |

| Well no better, I upped the tyre pressure on the fronts to 32 and got a mate of mine to test drive my car. He concurs and says the turn is weird.
The car turns in initially and the tyre wall rolls, then once that has settled you then have to turn again. This doesn’t inspire confidence when turning into a fast corner. I had 205 45 16 et35 on Nexen N3000 tyres on Momo arrows off a Punto GT with 5 mm spacers. I will try 195 45 15 next and if this doesn’t help I will put my 16” back on with 195 45 16 Have a look at http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html for a good read Reading that makes me think i should have tracking set to toeing out slightly and that 195 45 15/16's might not be a good idea?? | ok, so tracking was toeing out by 1 degree, set it up toing in by 30 mins, with all fluids in car and no weights on seats, rear is toing out by 20 mins. Steering wheel now needs to be adjusted, still waiting for pics of the home made steering wheel puller from one of our other members

| Thanks Paul, I knew about letting tyres bed in, scrub off, 1st heat up cycle, im glad i did as i took it realy slow on the first corner and it felt like i was driving on a wet greasy road.
I have checked tyre pressure, 1 rear was low, all at 30 psi now, i like it high for acceleration, only improvement is no bump steer and no teeth chatter on bumpy roads. Im still getting tyre roll/understeer. I didnt get my tracking done as i didnt get my car to the garrage on time. When i changed the track rod end, i also ended up changing the strut pan, as it was rusty and holy, had to replace the strutpan bearing aswel, as it fell apart due to being cracked, lucky i had a spare 1 lying around. Also tightened up a loose rear shock (nut under rear axle), removed all spacers and checked for correct spiggots and clearance. I noticed that the rear drums are a little loose, so i will do them next weekend and adjust the handbrake aswel. Tracking being done saturday morning, we shal see Andy, sounds good to me, iv set a reminder im my phone |

| First, give them a chance to wear in - eagle F1s should be good. Maybe up the tyre pressures to stop roll and get that tracking sorted as it will make a big difference if out. Will hold that spark plug spanner for you. | |

Got my tryes fitted on saturday by Leathal alloys, couldnt risk the wait as my others were bald to the metal 
First impressions, not impressed, i had theses wheels on my old red 33 (tsw evos from 155 narrow body) with 195 50 15 on them and im sure it handled better. Now i get tyre roll and understeer  Gona get tracking done tomorrow, afta iv fitted a new track rod end.

| Leathal Alloys do the tyres for £36, same as my tyres and charge £10 per tyre for fitting them. I guess the average price per tyres for fitting is £15, was just hoping to find somewhere that was a bit cheaper. | |

No tyre fitting centres are going to willingly fit discount 'internet' tyres for you. Lets face it, it's like taking your own tinnies into the boozer. They will usually either say no, or quote some silly fitting charge. John |

| does anyone know of any cheap tyres fitters in the Brighton or Crawley area. I was quoted £5 per tyre (fitting balancing and disposal) a while ago but now when i need to get my tyres replaced the cheapest place is £10 per tyre.
