Thanks. nop Smile that was courtesy of a kid falling off his bike and headbutting my wing, the other dent on the otherside came with the car and the other little scratches/dents are courtesy of vandles. Ive had the same car with a spioler and i am now used to it without, you can see better out the rear window, easier to wash, kinda looks smoother too.

I kinda like it without the black side rubbers, think it needs a spoiler though. Not sure on the removal of the rear strip, but i suspect it will work in the flesh. Definately needs the rear badge if you do it.
Is the need to be different the reason you have a unique crease in your n/s front wing? Razz

I think you're on the wrong forum now Al, try www.barryboys.co.uk!!!

Seriously though, I think your car looks nice, not quite to my taste, rather too much colour coding for me. I certainly wouldn't get the light brows and remove the reflective strip between the rear lights though, I think it'd start to look rubbish

Thanks for posting the pictures bobbber
I will take some better pictures next time on a tripod in the exact same possition and not black out the background and not park on a hill.
I had problems resizing the pictures, it makes them all blocky, they were taken with SE K800i 3.2mp
Maybe bobber will edit them like he did stedee's Laughing
I think no spoiler and colour coded bumpers do make a difference, but i cant make up my mind.
I think i will take some all round photos, after i have washed pollished and waxed her.

I want that one.....I don't like it.

Seriously though, not sure. It kind works with the fully coded bumper, with a strong late 164 vibe.

kma bobbber Laughing
chaval is asking if you could please host a few pictures and post them up here, he has emailed you
I want to be a little different but definitely not Chavyish.
There are three holes for the 10mm nuts, they came off easy, however there are 2 further holes. These holes have retaining clips in and pulling out the reflective strip was worrying. In reflection it might be easier to push these through as you take off the strip.

i would like to see photos of your car without the black strips down the side, i did it to a black one and it looked really nice but i`m not so sure about doing it to my p4 - i wanna keep it standard apart from the wheels,
have you seen those eyebrows you can get for the lights? i like them
and as for the boot reflector and getting rid of hmmm i dont like the sound of that but hey lets have a look when youve done it.

Thanks for your input guys Laughing no impreza rear spoiler wanted, i have no spoiler, so might not look to narrow.
I want to make my car a little different, i have already de-badged the whole car, (apart from the alfa romeo badges) and had bumpers fully colour coded. Silver mesh on the complete front (grill and bumper), removed all black side rubbers and replaced the indicator side repeaters with colour coded small ones.
When car was vandalised the boot was deeply scratched, so will need respraying, or replacing.
Right im off to remove it, ill take a pic and get someone to post it, see what you all think and go from there.

It looked crap. Three bolts inside the boot, and then pull off clips.

Don't do it!!!!!! You'll be wanting a smoothed tailgate, neons and an impreza rear spoiler next!!

In my opinion you should keep it standard, I think if you remove that strip it'll make your car look narrow and tall, particularly as its not a red one.

Anyway, thats my view for all its worth

Big Al,

I have toyed with this idea too, and with work could like very nice.

The reflecter is made of two parts, the red bit being kind clipped into a white plastic backing that is BOLTED into the bootlid. This will obviously leave two holes. You'd need to fill the holes and respray at least the bottom part of the bootlid up to the line (especially on a silver car) to make it look perfect.

The reflecters are as brittle as anything and will snap/ crack easily. The bolts are easy to get to and undo, so you can easily remove it.

On my car the paint underneath was perfect, and on most cars it should be, but you may find that it is brighter than the rest of the car- especailly on the red ones!

PostPosted: Fri May 04, 2007 6:25 am    Post subject: De badged boot, how about no reflective strip

A question for bobbber, on your post
http://www.alfa-pages.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2823&highlight=boot
i see your boot with no reflective strip, the picture isnt that close up, what did it look like. I am thinking of doing this to my car and need to know how difficult easy the reflective strip is to remove. Im guessing its stuck on, is it hard to remove?
I havent attempted it yet for fear of a dreded "snap!"
