i am confused, maybe someone fitted a 16v cross member to my yellow ser 2 then as the 16v engine cam belt covers fit and you say that the 8v dont have the pits so a 16v wont fit.

The 16v one has shapes 'pits' to clear the large timing belt covers.

S2 front cross member is a different shape to the 16v S3.

Thanks Zenith, could you elaborate a little, by sway bay do you mean anti roll bar? I swapped my front cross member and everything from my 8v to my 16v due to bushes and was curious.

Hi,

Yes the front sway bar will be specific to the 16V because the cylinder heads are getting in the way.

Is there any difference between a ser 2 1.7 1988 complete front cross member and all arms, compaired to a ser3 1.7 16v 2003?
