My sprint had a bottle top pressed (trodden/knelt) into a mastic bead on the floor which had then been sprayed over when the car was originally painted.
The previous owner was my dad who had it from new, so it was definitely done at the factory . I guess Paulo who was responsible for cavity wax had a drink instead of waxing this car as it was bone dry wax wise internally before i waxoyled it myself.
There was a legend that on the sprint production line in the 70's a worker putting on tailgates got distracted, missed a car, then dozens of cars went out with the wrong colour tailgates- i think this is probably b*llsh*t though

| funny that, I cleared out the very same "stuff" you have there, I think a lazy italian who cannot find a bin when he uses some sealant, nor fit's the cable tie's around the loom's . Might be different on a left hand drive though?. |
