Sudmeister:- if you email me a load of pics of you're car I can show the guys & see if they can give you a rough idea of cost to get yours looking good. Very Happy

I much prefer the s2 handles & skirts, not just for looks but the s3 handles snap for a pastime (especially in the frosty weather), and the s3 16v skirts are always getting knocked off coz they are so low at the back & look tatty when their jacking point covers fall off.

Were you at NAD? Is that where you saw Alex's car?

Wasn't at NAD, just going on the pics in this thread.

I'm gonna keep mine original i think. As good as they look, I do remember the s2 handles can have a habit of dislocating fingers Laughing

How many more series 2s are gonna have to die or have died so that you butchers can have our handles on your inferior series 3s?
Not to mention our beautiful skirts.
If you take many more bits you will actually end up with a series 2 Laughing Rolling Eyes

Trying to figure out if I prefer your S2 side skirts or the normal 16v side skirts. What does everyone else think? Definately prefer the S2 door handles though

I prefer the S2 skirts and door handles. However on my car, i canīt do it.
I have the S2 skirts & door handles ready to aply, but as my car is totally original, it seems wrong to do it.

If i had another one then probably i would do it Embarassed

Looks like a great job Alex!

My 33 is in similar condition to how your was; structurally sound, very little rust, but every shade of red/pink imaginable and in need of a respray (anyone who's seen it will vouch for that).

I'd really want them to look at it and quote before I begin stripping (I'm thinking glass out and probably would replace the trim), though I could borrow a trailer to get it to them once stripped. Where are they based? How do I contact them?

I think I'll need a replacement front bumper with no cracks and a good offside door mirror too if anyone can help?

Cheers - John

Gotcha, I had some work done on my yellow ser 2 and the cowboys didn't remove the ariel and there were lines around it, not impressed, didn't even flatten it out, same around the door lock.

I told them just to give it a quick coat of paint & not to go to huge lengths as i couldn't afford to pay them for a 100% job, but they didn't listen & they have done a much better job than i expected. You can't get the side door trims off in tact and a set of new ones cost Ģ145! i had to drawer the line somewhere & i still think the job i got is worth at least twice what i payed. These guys are perfectionists so if the customer wants a perfect job, they will strip the car to the customers needs. 1 of their next projects is to fully respray a 156 GTA, changing it from grey to red & fitting wide fibre glass panels, will be a replica of the touring cars. Very Happy

The bodywork is very good, just many shades of red/pink, knackered front bumper, mirrors are tatty and the roof is a tad "sunburnt".
Alan is a perfectionist with the cars he works on, if there is a rusty panel he will sort it or replace it before the new paint goes on. Very Happy
