Also wondering if it makes a difference given the additional firewall between the struts, assuming we are talking about the front anyway.

Hi,

There is no need to install a strut bar in the front.

Generally speaking Sud based vehicles (33, 145, 146) have this advantage being the struts connected via the fire wall.

Many other cars would like to have this firewall! that's why the braces are made for them Wink

By the way, it is nice to have another Greek fellow alfisti here !

Arci, what make of 33 do you have? other info would be nice to know.

Have you heard of Hellenic AROC?
You can check the website for more info, events etc.

Sorry guys, it is only in Greek for the moment, soon I 'll have the English version uploaded.

Regards.

I have a series2 1,7 8v i no cat. Has a bodykit 15 intch MOMO black wheels, Koni yellow +Apex springs and everything i assume from QV. I need to strengthen the struts due to the really hard suspension and the italian cars tendency, including alfas, to injure the struts.I found one OMP 75e.

You could need the front braces that the series 3s have that I've asked about in another thread.

Hi,
I have run both of my 33`s (race & road) with & without a brace.
They handle much better with, due I suspect to the strut top flex.
Turn in is much sharper & torque steer reduced, however for the road it makes the car feel very "harsh" through the wheel.
I have now settled on using the latest front struts on my series 2 road car with a conversion plate (from 4 to 3 bolt fixing) welded to the strut top, this seems to provide the best of both worlds
