For those that know, why is the cylinder bore tapered? Meaning the engine from factory and factory spec for rebuilding? Does anyone have the blue print? I swear I had a copy but lost it. It includes radial tolerences and the 0.1mm taper specs.

Sorry i think it's 0.01mm taper. It might not be significant but I was just wondering why they had this specific feature.

Hi

Probably to cope with heat differences causing different levels of expansion in different parts of the bore.

Hmm.. seems to make sense. The larger diameter is at the combustion end.
