hi,
from what i learned over the years faulty chips are not common at all.
and when a chip burns, it's most of the time 100% dead, which doesn't explain why you still got ignition on one coil.
i'm not sure how you tested your transistors. however it is possible that failure of one of them might still remain unnoticed. i strongly suggest thet you have the ECU checked by someone who has experience of electronics (not necessarily an automotive specialist). The lessons learned over the years will lead him to the fault very quickly.

I'm too busy to faff around with it much at the moment. So I got a secondhand one from a very nice chap called Dave. It arrived today and IT WORKS!!! Broom brum again. Yay!  |
