Dober Dan Laki,

Looks like an excellent example! Well done - and although I know NOTHING about the P4 system - good luck in sorting it out!!!!

Hvala,

Yes and No Smile
Q4 is 33 s3 which was produced 93/94, so they share same differences as normal fwd 33 s3.
In short:
- 3 bolt mount front shock& conical springs&top strut bearing
- instrument panel switches 3/4 size of 90-92 cube types. ( This strangely leads to some differences in wiring ie hazard lights switch)
- different interior finish grey alcantra instead of older durable textile with red/grey rombs and full plastic copy of leather on door instead of same textile as before
- was available with 14" copy of 155 Q4 rims

Laki try to search for 4x4 problem thread we had recently.

Pozdrav

i have also just got a p4 in champagne colour ,done 36000 miles but needs heads doing (the usual cambelt slip) i`m going to get theheads skimmed and the heads ported plus i`m going to paint the engine red and clean up all the aluminium bits so hopefully it will look sweet.

Yeah Stedee, i want to see some pics too!

Nice car Laki! And cheers for the info Tino, i didn't know any of that.

Stedee, as you mentioned the belts slipping i'll mention that i've just posted about finding that my belts have stretched enough to need tensioning after only 6k miles (though i suspect they stretched quite a way before then) and as the tensioners are now at full travel (after only 6k!) i'm expecting to have to change them about 12k, maybe sooner.
Would explain why belts seem to jump so easily.

16v have very long belts and it is normal for them to strech but how much I don't know.
Mark, you cant be sure about retensioning.
Logical thinking forbids it because if you thighten streched belt it will strech even more soon or what is more likely will snap.
But what is then purpose of those 4 holes on belt covers, just around belt tensioner screws?
I think belts can be retighten after few miles or few hundreds, and that is purpose of those holes, but I don't have any worshop manual or similar to back up my thinking.
