Think so. Just don't do it to an empty tank.
All the best

Paul, have you got a non-catted exhaust manifold from the P4? Or the S3? |

Bit of an incestuous business this 33 ownership! It was bought by Luke Anthony in Nov 2000 from M. Carey of Eastleigh. Luke blew it up in March 01 after spending a small fortune on it (just the exhaust cost 613 quid!)and Stewart Eades from Faversham bought it off of him as a P2 at the end of the year and returned it to 4WD. I bought it off of Stewart in 03 and returned everything to standard and sorted it out. Met up with Luke in 04. M. Adams had a nice big bill for it in April 98. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Hi Paul,
You don't have a decent 16v engine and gearbox do you? (2wd)
I've taken the head off mine after the cambelt went (see http://www.alfa-pages.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=5256) and I'm thinking it might be easier to revert to plan A; modify this engine to go in my Sud and just buy a standard engine/box replacement to get the 33 running again.
Cheers |

I've definitely got a spare 16v gearbox. I've just sold one engine to Bobber and a guy in South Africa wants another one. That leaves me with one spare, which although it has new belts and tensioners is very tappety. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Cheers Paul,
I'd rather get the engine and gearbox together (sods law, if I get one then I'll struggle to get the other), and if that engine is tappety I'd rather wait for a really good'un. But if you do come across a really good engine/box combo that needs a home please let me know.
Thanks |
