What are the options for perfomace exhust sytems for a 16v-er?
Looking aroud OMP make one (about £140) but its listed as 98+/-2dB which may be too noisy for a lot of trackdays.
What other options are there? do ANSA still make systems? _________________ 1977 Alfasud 16v

Think a few of the folk on here have tried the OMP one and it is very LOUD.
See Rich B's post here about his CSC manifold (looks good!) http://www.alfa-pages.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=5233

I had a group N OMP system and to be honest it was too bloody loud, you'd finish a motorway trip and your ears would hurt!!!
There are several options for you, depends how much of an exhaust you want. Only CSC (www.csc-marmitte.it) make a manifold off the shelf, thats for the cat version, centre sections are available from CSC, Ansa (http://www.ansasport.it/prima.htm) and OMP, backboxes are available from Sebring, OMP, ANSA and CSC.
In my opinion from a quality, efficiency of service, power increase and sound, the best option is CSC - I'd recommend you speak to CSC direct, speak to Veronica, she's very helpful
Hope thats of some use.... _________________ 1994 33 16v

The exhaust is going to be for my 16v 4x4 sud play / track car.
In its last incarnation it was an 8v 1.5 with sportwagon 4x4 gearbox and axle and custom prop with P4 VC. The exhaust was a custom (home made!!) job using standard bent tubes and free flow boxes.
I'm currently 1/2 way through repainting and converting to 16v, hence the rethink on the exhaust.
I have 1 standard 16v manifold in the workshop and its not a crossover, I don't know what is on the donor car, not looked but its a 91 H so non cat I imagine.
The manifold on the other post looks really interesting. I had a look but there is no site on www.csc-marmitte.it? do you have a link / contact number? How much was it? What would the expected power gains be?
Was it part of a system? I'd like to get a whole system if possible, even if it will need a little bit of modification to fit. _________________ 1977 Alfasud 16v

Hmmm.... the UK agent for CSC is in Ashby De La Zouch. That's like 3 miles from where I'm sitting right now!
Although it looks like some place ran by a bloke from his house... I might pop over there tomorrow and see what goes.

Thats right Bobbber, UK agent is Torino Spares, the boss is called Jo Crabtree I think, I spoke to him a few times and he was very helpful but insisted that CSC did not make a manifold!?! I think that their prices will be higher than from CSC too...
Speak to CSC direct: email address is: office@csc-marmitte.it |

Ok, I've spoken (well, emailed) CSC and discussed what is available... :
AL 230200 (MIDDLE PART) EUR 186.00
AL 230080 (CENTRAL PART) EUR 192.00
AL 230000 (MANIFOLD ONLY FOR CAT VERSION TO BE MODIFIED) EUR 423.00.
Manifold is for CAT models to will need a piece of tube in it to replace where the CAT would be.
CSC said they saw 12hp gain on the car they tested it on. Not cheap, but with an ait filter should see 150+ bhp....[/b] _________________ 1977 Alfasud 16v

The cat is in the centre box, the mod you would need to make is either make a flange on the non-cat centre box to join the CSC cat manifold, or remove the flange on the CSC manifold and use an exhaust clamp to join it to the standard centre box.... |
