For those of you that didn't understand my reply.
I am interested, it will be down to funds again, I may have a big engine problem, I may not, so once that is sorted I can commit. Either way I need to start saving for either/or.

Plus my insurance is due and I'm having problems and looking at being twice as much Sad

Insurance companies!! Sad
I am after;
agreed value, aka classic insurance
limited miles 5k
only driver
only car
not garraged
with mods aka track car
drive other vehicles
cover whilst on track.

finding it hard to get all the obove.

I would want to bring my car, thats the whole point, esp after all the work gone into it, it would be an insult not to bring him Smile

Evening gents...

Great news about it being in June... that makes for all sorts of shenanigans outside the villa.

Wondering if I should ask the Fiat Punto lot if they might want to share a villa??? They have a lot of posts about it and if we do we might be able to get a HUGE place with a pool and stuff for the same money?!?!?

What do we all think? Lee? JT? Marshter?

Bob

Evening gents.

Not been on here for a while (reason for that later).

Bob, I think that's a good idea about asking around, The more the merrier and it might be hard to fill all the spaces from on here anyhow.......not sure the Tolleymeister will go judging by some posts on AO (might be wrong but sure he'll confirm) and it's touch and go for myself too Evil or Very Mad

That brings me to why I haven't been here. I'm a gnats bollock away from leaving 33 ownership myself. The 33 is off the road with engine problems. All the oil that's supposed to be in the engine is currently spread all over the crossmember and the floor with a suspected cam/crankshaft seal gone. But with it being winter and the fact I work nights (only really need one car between me and the wife) I'm leaning towards torching the bloody thing. I reckon it would go up well with all the oil over it.

So that's my predicament. If I decide to go down to one car I wont be going as there's no way of getting there and if I fix it I will........but at the moment I've lost the love and keep looking at the sledge hammer in the garage!

I'll keep you informed though.

Oh man if its not one thing it's another, feeling your pain mate.
As for Spa, don't write it off yet even if you get rid of the 33 Bob still needs someone to help him drink all that Jupiler (well he doesn't NEED help, it would just be greedy) and you know you'd miss the sound of that ring pull before the cars unloaded.
Anyway even if you don't have the car we will get you there even if I have to come down by Devon and get you myself.

Just one question for you Lee
Which way did you park it when the oil drained out?
Was it facing uphill or downhill?

That was two wasn't it
Sorry Al

That's kind of you to offer Ian but I really couldn't expect you to come and fetch me......that's quite an extra trek on top of quite a trek.

As for the position of the car, It was standing on almost level ground. If anything, slightly downhill with the passenger side above drivers side if you get what I mean. What I need to do is get the rad off, belt covers and belts off and remove the back plates so I can see what's going on. Only trouble is, between me and my socket set is a large can of petrol and I really don't trust myself Laughing

Ha Ha Smile mine leaks internally lol
Lee if its any consolation, I waited 7 months when a cam belt snapped before it got warm enough for me to do the work. I’m sure if you got rid you wouldn’t get what you want for it and would miss it afterwards. KEEP IT!!

Laughing get it now!! Guess rage was blinding my sense of humour.

Al, you're right, I would miss it and I probably will end up like Ranulph Fiennes fixing it, just hard to get the motivation.
