Quite a good idea but it has lost the special character of the 33 car.
By the way, Patrick do you know more info about this project, how much money was spent etc.

OMG you'd be a gonner if you rolled that, no rear cage/hoops. The front looks a bit saggy too, good job it's sunny. Hope they did some serious chassis reinforcement as a 33 with no roof would flex flex flex. I have trapped my fingers in the top of the door while cruising round a corner with the window open, as I came on to the straight the gap closed and squeezed my fingers OUCH!! I recon you get about 1cm of distortion at the top of the door/roof when cornering and that's with the roof on!

It is rather ironic that if a roll bar was fitted, it would have to be tested and approved before the car could be road certified - this is the case in Holland!!
A strange rule, meaning that a car can be road worthy without a safety device like a roll over bar, but illegal with one fitted!! |
