Greetings from New Zealand, My wife has a 33, the left hand rear cyclinder
is not firing. Some History, for some time time it has been idling rough
and snatching at low engine revs, but came right higher engine revs.
Ok,took it to a garage in dunedin, they balanced the carbs,(dellortoes,
and did the idle jets etc .It was a little better but not great.
Oh,the 33 is an 1987 1500.
Now the same carb chlinder has gone.ok,swaped plugs, leads, around.but
ignition is fine.
when it is idling on three, strong smell of petrol from exhaust.
Should i be looking at valves, cam buckets etc.
Did a compression test with one of those hold in spark plug hole
gauges, cynlinder not working came up at 125 p.s.i.
I am a bit lost where to start again, carb, valves.any help would
be great
