Last May I had a big end Failure on a 1.7 16V engine. I’m going to repair that engine, and I need some advice...
The failure was on cylinder Nº4, wich I think is strange since it’s the near one from the oil pump.
The Crank needs to be cuted (I don’t know the correct word in English) and new bearings applied.
So, my question is if there is any type of treatment that we can do to the crank/bearings so it won’t appends again .
