Hi, everybody,
A fter using diagnostic connector T2 for my 33 16v it shows code 1-2-4-4, that means "a) Evaporation solenoid valve final stage short-circuited to ground or circuit interrupted.b) Evaporation solenoid valve final stage short-circuited to battery positive pole.Check conditions: The malfunction is identified only during actuation of evaporation solenoid valve (sudden acceleration while standing, or engine under loads)."
Anybody knows what is "Evaporation solenoid valve" and where is it?
Can it be repeared?
With kind regards,
NS |

Funnily enough, I get exactly the same code sometimes, and it doesn't seem to make the blindest bit of difference to the way the car works.
I think it may be a legacy of the emissions hardware that Alfa and other makers are forced to put on the cars. I certainly am not worried about it!

So, I checked all ML4.1 stuff and found that wire connection to emmision control solenoid valve (M15 of motronic electric scheme) was broken. I think that was a reason of fault code 1-2-4-4.
Now I fix it and hope the problem has solved.
With kind regards,
