Does anyone have any idea in regards to plastic welding. I need to to weld a piece of plastic strip "securely". It does'nt have to be a pretty job and its a too small\expensive to take it to a professional. Any ideas?

Im plastic welded heaps of parts on my car and you can actually do a surprising good jobvery easily. All you need is a soldering iron and some matching plastic model kit sprue which is the bits left over after you have finished the model is very good for this. Basically you heat both sides of the join and use the sprue as solder / bog to fill in and join it together. Alternatively just heating the plastic that is already there may be enough. Hope this helps.
