Well i have been here for over a year and now i have a 33.

Good old ebay. i picked up a 1990 H reg S3 1.7 8v

On saturday, we fixed the blow in the manifold, Crack nearly all the way around the hole pipe.

Put some water in the coloing system and tried to flush all the brown s**t out too.
Found out the problem with the brakes. a Split brake hose near the compensator. So this should be a quick repair
As for the rust on the floor, well there gromits on each bit of the floor. and thay have fallen out, some are rusty, but a little plate on each one will sort thay out. Also a little bit on the N/S sill needs a plate on it.

Apart from theses little bit, it should go though the MOT.

Sunday.....

We got a mate to make up a new brake line. So there all working now.

Rippped out and old alarm but left the imboliser.

Took out the heater matix, to see why the fan did't work. So i found out thay had cut the wire to the fan and wired it up to a cheap/crap/s**t/switch on the dash, which thay had to cut the dash to fit and ran the "new" cables under the battery and all though out the dask, just to get the fan working on one speed. The silly wankers how fitted the switch should have cheaked the fuse was the right ampage.. Its 20A not 10A hence it kept blowing. ...Rant over... (now we have to wait and see if it goes again)

We found loads and loads of rusty water in the rad, hopfuly we have got it all out.

So new it has brakes we can test drive it and its damn fast for a boxer 8v. and feels like a prober little racer too. This car willl be loads of fun.

I did take some pic's but left the camera in the car.

Not bad for only having the car under 48 hours.

So tomorrow night getting on with the rust on the floor and sill.

So what do you guys think?

Congratulations on your buy! It looks mighty fine to me, and yes, the rims really fit the car. ^_^

Looks nice - but is that rust around the fuel filler cap? Also check the tyre pressure on the LHS front tyre - looks kind of low.

Seats and interior look mint!!!
