hey all,
new to the boards but i used to read the old message board in day gone by. after a 3 year break from alfa's i've just taken ownership of a very tidy '92 33 P4. my name is Luke and my new 33 is my 6th alfa in 9 years.
with the introduction over, back to topic.
i love the shape of the series 3 33 sportwagon but did they ever make a perm 4 vertion of it?
i know there were s2 SW with manual 4wd systems but were there any s3's with 4wd?
if not then is the chassis limited to fwd only? would putting the running gear from a perm 4 be possible without too much chopping of the body work?
i was going to do a large modding project with a P4 but i dont want to mess too much with my nice example and ruin it. i've allways liked the sportwagon shape and if i can make it 4wd then i'll use one of them as the base for my project.
thanks in advance

Hello Luke,
good to see you back .
Yes there was SW version of P4.
There is S3 SW 33 from 93-94 year with Q4 marking, was there one with P4 marking I can't tell now.
Seen one on scrap yard that donated Nardi leather gearstick end to my P4. It was red had sunroof and A/C, to this day I'm wondering where my brain was not to buy it, for spares.
Berline version of S3 has different back end, fuel tank is under boot so boot floor is up, while on FWD one tank is under rear seats, just where P4 has rear diff. Too much work on chasis, but probably can be done. _________________ Tino Vatavuk
