Hi,
A pal of mine called for help on his 33 1.7 16V. Engine has stalled while driving and won't restart. The blink code diagnostics reads 1-2-1-5, which is not listed in the manual. I disconnected the battery and the fault disappeared, but came back after a cranking attempt.
After some investigations the distributor cap proved to be dead (the center pin had come off). I'll look for a new one tomorrow. I hope it will work.
Would the mysterious code be related to an ignition failure (sensed through the ECU output stage)? or is it more likely to be triggered by electromagnetic noise due to the spark not finding its way to the ground?
Any comments welcome.

Hi,
Changed the distributor cap today and guess what? won't start.
Seems to have spark, fuel pump runs.
So this code ain't related to ignition after all.
Will investigate further tomorrow.
Anybody ever experienced this?
