Hi to all

I was reading the latest edition of Autosprint (Italy) and I noted a picture on the Alfa 33 Trofeo. Navigating in internet I found more information.

It is a Trofeo introduced to cut racing costs. A season should cost around 5000 Euros. It is held at the Umbria racing circuit in Italy.
I have sintizised the rules which are written in Italian:
Only 2 wheel drive 33 of any year; 1351 cc engine only without any modifications; safety features of group N racing conform to CSAI and FIA; all internal panelling must be removed including seats; FIA seats must be fitted;suspensions can be changed; tires foreseen by the organization;no modifications to original engine;only carburators Weber 36 IDF or 40 IDF or Dell'Orto 36 DRLA or 40 DLRA. On registration, the organization will supply freely: security kit composed of 6 point rollbar, fire extinguisher, safety belts, battery cut switch, front bonet hold down kit. 10 dates are organized and each race consists of 2 races of 15 laps. No qualifications for the first race while the second race will be based on the arrival grid of the first race. At the end of the day, the first 6 will have the possibility to ask the engine (without carburators) of one of the other 5 participants swoping his. Dates for this year are as follows: 9 March, 6 April, 27 April, 25 May, 22 June, 20 July, 14 September, 19 October, 7 Dicember. The internet link were I found this info is (in Italian): http://www.racepilot.it/scheda_news.php?idnews=1493. I have not found and contact number of the organization yet if any one is interested.

Ciao to all

Just saw your message about the Alfa 33 Trofeo of Magione.

I have visited one race there last year.
Great fun all these 1.3 33's racing each other.
Fabrizio Giovanardi the soccer player is also racing in the 33 cup.

I have some pictures on our club's website www.squadra33.com .

Enjoy

As we are the Dutch Alfa 33 club called Squadra33 the site is mainly in Dutch.

However we are planning to have all kinds of information available about the Sud , 33, 145/146, Sprint and Arna in a few months.
Maybe not a bad idea to have more information available in English.

Some articles are in English but the messageboard is for members only and therefore Dutch.

We used to have an English member as well and a German too.

I hope you could locate the photos from Magione.
They can be found under 'photo boek' and then '33 kampioenschap..'.

Thanks for the feedback.
