Hi
My electro couple disengages after driving a while, as well as if I have it on neutral, with the engine on...
I have checked resistanse on the read cable (1800 ohm) when it is working, until it stops (4wd lamp eluminates) and then zero ohm and no circuit (O volt)..
When i checked the tooth mech sensor cable, there is only resistense (100ohm) between one of the cables and the copper shielding.
The other cabel and copper sheilding = there is no circuit.
as well as between the to cables..
It seams that it gets owerheated or something.
I shuld menting that directly after the gearbox it is leaking oil..
Please send a word or two..
Yours faithfully

Check that both brake switches are working, and working together (i.e. getting switched at the same time with the brake pedal). The ECU will test them and if it doesn't get the right response after a while it will time out and disable the EMC.
You'll need to wait for someone to clarify this but i think the second brake switch works in reverse to the first, it is on by default and gets turned off when the brake pedal is pushed. |

i have got the same problem with my p4.
i took my car to beninca here in australia.........they are world renowned alfa specialists.
they hooked my car up to the alfa tester and found that the anti disengaging sensor is faulty
this is the sensor that is fixed externally of the emc.
these sensors are still available. |
