Hi,

Took the 33 out today, and for the first time ever had a nice wet patch on drivers seat - discovered i had a wet arris (arse) on arrival at vets.

Think this is down to the very heavy rain at weekend, and the headlining had a damp patch near sunvisor.

I suspect this is down to a blocked/ disconnected drain tube. Is there any easy way to get to this? Where does it exit the car?

Would it be feasable to block the hole at the top of this RHSFront drain, and hope that the LHSfront can cope with the job on it's own.

Cheers,

John

Hi John,
The drains come out at the back of the car either side......Poke your head under each side of the bumper and you'll see them. The only way is to take down the head lining to investigate. It's more than likely a build up of shite but the gutter could also be rusted out.......on an Alfa.....never!

I dont think your idea of blocking one up would work due to the curved nature of the sunroof gutter. I imagine it would overflow before it drained to the other side.

Hi,

I fixed it!

Took the plunge and lowered the front rh corner of the headlining. The rh front drain tube was completely disconnected Question Rolling Eyes How this happened i don't know maybe car getting hot and cold over the years- maybe Guiseppe on the line at Aresse didn't push it on properly/ at all.

The tube was clear- i blew down it- so probably have typhoid now.

Anyway pushed it on, dried out the headlining with hot air gun, and refitted everything. Condition of roof and sunroof assy looked perfect - hooray! all quite straightforward with only problem being that i blew 2 fuses in a row by shorting the courtessy light twice- doh Embarassed

Here's a pic. Thanks for advice Lee.
