I have just reconnected up the alfa control unit in my TI. At first it worked fine, but now the initial fuel low, high engine temperature and brake warning lights do not go out after the first few seconds of running and stay permanently on. Is there a timer relay somewhere or is it actually held within the control unit itself? Anyone know? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Sounds like the well known wiring gremlins are back to their tricks.
There are no timers that i'm aware of Paul. _________________ 155 sportpack

When you turn the ignition of a series 2 TI on, the brake warning light, fuel low and engine overheat lights in the normal console and the brake warning light along with either the green if everything is okay or red major light on the Alfa Control remain lit for a few seconds before extinguishing. This is normal, but mine remain lit.
On a standard 33 the brake warning, fuel low and engine overheat also remain for a couple of seconds before extinguishing. Which bit of electrics does this? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV
