Hello all,
I replaced a new speed sensor somedays ago, but the speed meter still won't work.
I have check the connector of speed meter, and the are okay.
I found that everytime after I touching the signal cable near the air-tank, the speed meter worked again.
These days, it won't work any more finally Sad

I guess it's the problem of signal cable and I wanna replace this cable.
I am planing to replace the cable from the meter to sensor.

But I found one problem. I don't know if there are any calculater(There is a computer box in 75 TS, I don't know if it's the same in 33 16v) between it.Do anyone know if 33 16V have computer to calculate the signal from speed sensor then transmit to speed meter? or the speed meter is also the calculater.

Hope it's not too hard to understand what I say. Rolling Eyes

Thanks first!

Morgan

PS.It's hard to keep 33 in Taiwan.. There are few spare parts here even the door lock. I soldered it and fix it last month.
I am still looking for back trunk lock Sad
There is no exhaust manifold for 33 16V here....@!$^@!$%^^$#$%^$#@$#@.......

Hi Morgan
Sounds like you have quite a time keeping a 33 going in Taiwan.
Have a look at the thread on speedos in the Maintenance & repairs section, everything is covered there I think

Ian...

Hi Ian,

Thank you Smile
Exactly I own this 33 16v qv almost 2 years, and I am the 3rd owner. I owned a S2 33 8v 5 years ago.

I will try to replace the cable this week, so I wanna know if there are any parts between the speedo and sencor. If it still can't work, I will try to buy a speedo Sad

There were one 33 16v killed in Hong-Kong, and I will ask parts there or here.
33 are not much here, lots of them are killed within these years.
I'll try my best to keep this lovely and the only 33 well, coz no another 33 16v imported here. Hope it can live happpily until the end of the world Smile)
