My car spends all of its time with too much oil in (overfilling it for track days) and my trip to work is quite short so there's often that goopy white stuff in the oil filler neck. Plus the amount of blow-by the boxer engines seem to have at idle must dirty up the oil quite fast. So I superstitiously use engine oil flush for those reasons.
Cooling system flush never seems to be aggressive enough to do helpful things like unblock a 33's heater core.. But you'd hope it could restore/maintain radiator efficiency by removing stuff coating the inside of the water passages. I think you could do about as well the old fashioned messy way disconnecting lots of pipes and blasting water through things.

It's probably rubbish, but I've never had any negative effects from using it. I can tell you it won't unclog those little hoses or your heater core when they're blocked solid with rust though.
I've also used engine flush lots of times and my engine's still going.

Post subject: To flush or not to flush, that is the question
Hey guys, I've never used coolant flush and wondered what you opinion on the stuff is.
