I sometimes use Vpower as they now call it in the 33, and i think it runs a bit better, but it's probably my mind trying to justify the expense. I used a few tankfulls to get the toy Ferraris for my son - they're really good! During recent petrol supply probs i had to put Vpower in the Clio  as 95ron had run out. I think it did go a bit better. John
Hi
Unless you manually adjust the timing (either with the relay like device, or on a carbed / early injected 33 but moving the distributor) the higher octane rating will make zero difference to the 33.
However the claims for vpower, etc, are not just based on the octane rating.
All the best

The fuel will make more of a difference for carbed cars as the fuel injection cars have ignition advance set to run with lambda probe at 91 or 95RON or without at 95 or 97RON depending on which relay is used.

I always use super unleaded in my car as it goes so much better when I use it and also the fuel economy is much better (not that I'm old enough to worry about such trivial things!!).

Post subject: super unleaded fuels, is it worth it in our 33's?
shell optimax, anyone use this? Does it make any diffference? a friends girlfriend runs this on her
toyota yaris
and has noticed better fuel consumption that negates the price difference and performance increase.
