As I have a space saver and the foam/plastic spacer doughnut, I thought about making another doughnut to sit on the original. That would raise the wheel up and it would take less turns to tighten/loosen the wheel clamp.
I could make an outline of the wheel brace, spark plug tool ect ect and cut out the shape, allowing me to push the tools into the new doughnut. When the wheel is ontop of it, it will hold it all in place, what do you think? |

I don't have the tool kit either but on my first 33 it was stored in with the spare wheel.
Al, as you're doing away with your spare wheel (for the sub enclosure) may I suggest that you take a 4 inch nail and nail the tool kit to the sub box. |

| The only thing with putting the tool kit in with the wheel is it rattles about. |

None of my 33's have ever had the Alfa toolkit. However, they've all had the jack.
The position of the jack is often on my driveway, then on the sill and finally up into the drivers foot-well.

Hi...
Mine also lives under the spare wheel, with the jack. I believe that in 2wd cars, thats how its suposed to be...
In series 2 cars, the jack had a support on the right hand side, and was hidden by the boot carpet. The tool bag was "sandwiched" between the jack and the body.
On Sportwagons, there are some extra storage spaces. At least, on these ones, there is extra oportunities to hide stuff...
On 4wd cars (not only in P4/Q4), the boot floor is different. On the drivers manual, it states that the spare wheel is hold by rubber straps, but it does not say where the tool bag is. |

Mine lives next to the spare wheel in the wheel well. I suspect it was here or under the wheel (if that fits) from new, as I don't think the previous 2 owners ever did any maintenance on the car.
From distant memory my late model sud had a neat little cubby hole built into the side of the boot trim for it.

| It doesn't actually say where the tool kit is supposed to live in the manual, but the jack is supposed to be under the spare wheel. Mine's just in a box in the boot to make it easier to get to. |
