Due to a little incident involving attempted Grand Theft Auto last night, I will be at NAD in the red 16v 33, so will be looking to park with any other 33s that might be there (there is a slight possibility I will bring the scruffy 16v SW if I get the engine swap finished, but will see). Scumbags attempted to steal the 75 last night. A bit weird as 99.9% of the time, the car is not visible. I have had it in our gated courtyard the last few days ready to give it a wash for NAD, and yesterday had to shift some cars around so had it on the road outside the house for the afternoon. Parked it on the track outside the yard gate at 8pm, nose to nose with Mrs Wombat's Freelander, and at 10pm, about 30 minutes before I was going to pull it into the yard, a worried neighbour came and got us to point out that the car was across the road and crashed into the wall opposite. Some scumbags had scoped it whilst it was visible, and tried to steal it. Damaged drivers door, lock, and smashed window, steering cowl and upper column casting destroyed, ignition switch destroyed, and rear bumper and hangars damaged. Police involved, and it turns out that a similar incident at the bottom of our road was also called in this morning for an old J plate BMW, and our childcare ladies husband saw a likely couple scoping his restored Ford P100 pickup. CSI were round today and went over the car, and we found the tool they used to smash the window and break the locks. Its now off for DNA testing. More security lights now being installed, and a small CCTV set-up being specced. Dog warning totally failed due to being too sleepy between 8 and 10 last night, so dog supper is now under negotiation. I want to have my day in court to get contempt for repeatedly calling them scumbags and scrotes during proceedings. We will see. Anyway, 33 it is for NAD.
Call me a pedantic t**t but isn't the white one second from right a S1? Mind you the indicators are clear so maybe I'm wrong..
Nice turnout. They all look fab!
You're pedantic but correct
Looks like a C-reg making it 85-86.

Yes it was a really good event, good to see people. We had 10 cars in the lineup so considering where it was, we did well.

Had a really good time at NAD this year, mainly because of the people including you guys...
Time went too quickly with having the family there.
Thanks to Mr. Marsh for the parking duties.
Thanks to Alex and Lorraine for your generosity too.

Just to set the record straight
I didn't realise the date came round so quickly. Last time i looked i thought it was ages away.
I woke up EARLY on Sunday and arranged to go out with Pat, he couldnt make it and I checked on the forum to see mention of a hotel the night before and then realised, i crp, it's today. So I headed off, I would hate to let you guys down

If you need someone to look after it for you I will volunteer. Looks just like the one I had years ago.
Lovely looking car.

Post subject: not coming
Sorry guys the 33 has let me down and i can't come -
Having spent the whole day valeting the thing in and out yesterday I managed to get my son ready and everything loaded up this morning for our day out.
Car really hard to start then ran like sh*t with a noisy fuel pump. Limped it round the block and on getting back home there was fuel dripping out of the pump so we aint coming.
Absolutely livid.
The shows are about the only reason I keep, tax and insure the bloody thing!
Anyway the way I feel now, once i've done the pump and a few other little service jobs over the next month or so it could well be on the market.
Hope plenty of others have made it and have a great day! - pictures please.
John

That's 2 more to add to the list which I think means around 15 definites.
I'm already in Chatham and left my list at home so only a rough guess.
Sorry to hear about yours Iain.
You could always bring it along and we'll park the bad side against a wall or something

Yo fellow 33'ers, we have been offered reserved parking at NAD in August but the AROC have asked me for approx numbers of spaces, how many of you guys are planning on coming to Chatham in Aug then? There also should be a bit of a photo shoot for the AROC magazine.
I'll be there is my rat look S2

Hi Ian,
There is an ever increasing possibility that I may not make it, the body shop who has had my car for 6 weeks has said the paint on the near side has re-acted badly and wants another 2 days to rectify it, I have said he has til later on today to have it ready, but I'm being fobbed off with poor excuses as to why the car isn't ready yet. 6 flippin weeks to get to this...proper cheesed off.
