[quote="john 33_16v"]Hi, I've got a good 1.7 16v box. Not sure what/if any differences from 8v... It came out of my car in 2008 and has sat on the bench in a dry garage since. The car had done about 60k then. The reason I took it out was that a vibration/ noise came up the stick in 3rd and then 5th- turns out this was just the rubber bush being split in half on the linkage- doh. I'm open to offer and it's in Herts (near m25) if you're interested and would need to be collected. I've got the tail arm and gear linkage from it too and a new rubber bush to go with it. QV gearbox has 10/37 final drive(3.7) whereas 16V's is 9/35(3.888) but ratios should be the same.
Or try Justsuds - not too far for you on IOM.

Post subject: Need Help! Series 2 33. 1.7 Cloverleaf. Gearbox needed.
My 33 gearbox is fully broken and I can't keep it on the ramps for my box to be reconditioned.
Does anyone know of one for sale or what other boxes can fit etc?
I'll be phoning Charlie Skinner on Monday as he was going to recondition the box too see if he has one at all.
Any help much appreciated. Need to save my Alfa :s
