Funny that, i just started getting the same problem and was concidering replacing starter motor. I will try the relay mod first though.

Would think the original starter would be a bosch. My 1985 sprint had bosch everything i think, 82 sud had some marreli stuff.

Post subject: Sprint Help please....Not quite a 33 i know...!
Hi all Havnt been here for a while hows it going ...
once long long ago i had a 13.50 sprint around 5 years back and this forum came in very handy(Nice peeps).............whent over to the dark side with a 155 for a while and have now got meself a 17.12 zenda sprint with a bit of a niggle........When its hot, sometimes she will not fire up..no starter kicking in.......Solinoid..?Starter

..not sure,the thing is i have been offerd a
Ducellier 12v-k2
and am not sure if its a ducellier or bosh jobbie in a 1988 sprint boxer not 16 valve.....any body have this knowledge as i cannot make out any markings on it and dont wish to pull it out withourt replacement in hand ready to fit back in... ...PLEASE
Still have a silver stone to deal with this alfa addiction....
