Post subject: Re: Liveview fc 25
Why is FIFA video game called FC 25? EA Sports' football franchise name history
Kieran Francis
The Sporting News explains why this is the case.
MORE: When is EA Sports FC 25 released? New 'FIFA 25' release date
Why FIFA 25 will be called EA Sports FC 25
In 2022, EA Sports and FIFA couldn't agree on a renewed deal for the governing body's licence on their video game, meaning the game would need a rebrand.
With the 20-year partnership between the parties coming to an end, EA Sports decided to name their next football game FC 24 and the 2024 edition FC 25.

Despite losing the licence with FIFA, EA Sports has separate deals with 300 clubs and leagues around the world, allowing the player names, clubs, and competitions to continue existing in-game after the change.
"Everything you love about our games will be part of EA SPORTS FC — the same great experiences, modes, leagues, tournaments, clubs and athletes will be there," said EA Sports in a press release at the time of the split.

"Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and VOLTA Football will all be there. Our unique licensing portfolio of more than 19,000+ players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues that we've continued to invest in for decades will still be there, uniquely in EA SPORTS FC. That includes exclusive partnerships with the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, MLS — and more to come."
EA Sports FC 25 release date: When does FC 25 come out?
EA Sports FC 25 standard version will be released worldwide to the general public on September 27.
This is around about the usual date the game is released annually since its inception.
It is possible to play the game early but conditions need to be met (see below).

What platforms will EA Sports FC be available on?
EA Sports FC 25 will be available to buy on six platforms - PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
