Post subject: How to Customize Your License Plate in Forza Horizon 6
Customizing your license plate in Forza Horizon 6, is simple once you know where to go. You’ll need to access your car from a festival site or your player house to unlock the garage tools for editing plates.
Changing Your Standard Plate Text
Here’s how to quickly update your license plate with your favorite text or symbols:
Open the main menu using the Escape key (PC) or Menu button (console).
Head to the Cars tab in the top menu.
Choose the option to fast travel to your nearest Player House or Horizon Festival site.
Enter your garage workspace.
Select the License Plate tile
.
Type your desired text or symbols. You can even use region-specific characters, such as Japanese Hiragana.
Confirm your entry by pressing Accept or Save to apply the changes to your vehicle.
This method allows you to instantly personalize every car in your garage with a touch of your own style.
Advanced Custom Plate Styles (Using the Livery Editor)
If you want something beyond standard text—like authentic regional plates or creative backgrounds—you can use the Livery Editor:
Remove the Default Plate: Open the License Plate menu, clear the text, or toggle the stock plate off.
Add Vinyl Elements: Enter the Livery Editor → Designs & Paints → Apply Decals.
Search for Community Creations: Use the Creator search tool with keywords such as “Japan plate,” “Euro plate,” or “US plate.”
Position and Scale: Place the decal directly onto your car’s bumper, adjusting rotation and size until it fits perfectly.
This method lets you give your car a truly unique look, with either community-made plates or your own custom design layered over the vehicle.
