Can't help much I'm afraid, I've never found the pedals to be a problem in my 33 and I drive it fairly often in size 12 steel toed boots.

Finally I told him to tack weld a washer on the rod end (old oilfield trick). He was horrified, but did it. Took 5 minutes.

I've not road tested it yet, but this afternoon I've had the linkage bar off and drilled it to take a split pin. Wasn't too difficult to do apart from snapping the first drill in the hole Rolling Eyes Sad ...

I called in at a local alfa breakers toady and had a look at a box out of a car. Hopefully it is just the clip that has come off mine, allowing the linkage bar to come off.

I was out in the car this afternoon and the gear lever has gone all flobbly. I can't select gears or change out of 3rd that it seems to be currently stuck in Crying or Very sad

The speedo in my 33 wasn't working when I got it, so I tried a speedo from a known working set of clocks - no improvement. So I've now swapped the gearbox sender as well - still no improvement.

If it's the hole at the top rear of the engine, through which you can see the flywheel. Then why the desperate need to cover it?

To answer the original question, Tcut followed by a polish or wax. If it is really bad then it might be worth finding a bodyshop that will buff it up instead of the Tcut.
