Its a 1.5 so the marks are the end of the cams like in the second photo. I was pretty sure I had it right but now i'm certain.

Ok, I've got the heads back on but I'm not sure on the timing. The workshop manual isn't very clear(or I'm a bit thick)

line up the 'T' mark on the flywheel with cylinder 1 in it's f ...

I picked up my heads today and they are oh so shiny so putting it all back together over the next few days, then back in the car and hopefuly it'll all still work Confused

If it had overheated and then blown I'd get them skimmed but it never overheated, don't think the temp gague went over 80 so would the heads have warped? Does the engine need to overheat for the heads ...

the faces of the heads still have a bit of gasket stuck to them, but from what i can see there is no pitting or corrosion.

I'm after a working brake master cylinder for my series 1.
I'm trying to get my car back on the road on a budget, so something to get it going unitl I can afford a new one would be great.
