sadly it wasnt just the door, the sill and b pillar were bent too so i didn't take the car. the hunt continues.

when i first did the test i put the tester on the return from the FPR and got around 7 bar, does that show that the fuel pump is ok?
I have fitted a new fuel filter.
So on idle should it be 3 bar or ...

no i don't get that.. Confused

an engine is an air pump.. the harder it pumps the more vacuum you get?

i think i know this from having a vacuum gauge in a mates mr2. at idle it's about -.5bar when o ...

i've never had more than 3000-3500 miles out of a set of f1's. you cant beat the wet weather grip and all the other tyres just about keep up in the dry. but the price you pay for grip is wear.

turbo cars do it all the time but very high revs on a normal car and then lifting off hard can do the same thing. just getting unburnt fuel into the exhaust system tends to do the trick.

i used to get about 240-320 miles out of my old p4. i did tend to drive it like it wanted to be driven rather than to save fuel.
