I've to replace the thermostat of my 1.7 8V.

I bought one, not in a house but separate.
(sorry for my english...)

There are some parts that seem to make it difficult.
What is the easiest way to replace the thermostat?

AFAIK only series 1 had thermostat that could be opened and replaced, 33 series 2 and 3 (1990-94) had thermostat enclosed in housing, and to replace it you had to replace whole housing.
So question is which year is your 33 and does thermostat inside your 33 has screws on housing?

Gues you're right. It is a complete house.
Made an appointment with the dealer, looks too complicated (and narrow space for my hands...)
Thaks you anyway!

No problem Smile
Yeah it can be a bit tricky, to put all those hoses back, even when you create as much space as you can.
Dealer show know how to do it, and remove all air from cooling system afterwards.
