The only ugly part is it's colour. If it was another colour the car would have looked really good. Where can you get parts like that??

Alfa romeo go to great pains to design us cars that are beautiful to look at and different from the norm and someone does that to it...its beyond belief.....in my opinion.

I wonder how many tubes of superglue were used to do that??

I think my personal fave about this car is the way the owner has gone to the trouble to try and block out as much as possible of their windscreen.

Always painful to see an Alfa in this condition, it really makes us cringe. We cannot understand the mentality of such owners, but relish their efforts in some twisted sense all same.

Down to the tuning analysis. First of all the blocked out windscreen would provide the greater sensation of speed which has been lost by the added weight and curious aerodynamics (a true Alfa Disco Volante?).

The warning stickers on the back are obviously to warn other motorists of flying debris when travelling at speeds in excess of 80 km/h.

We appreciate the bonnet scoop which supplies the heater with cold air, although fail to see how the air would escape from the sealed firewall compartment... Is it....... A FAKE???

We also would like to note the matching yellow upholstery and trim (see interior grab handles). Were the seats also 'resprayed'. We would really like not to know.

Any idea on how much money was blown?

Has he sprayed the engine yellow as well?

Is the second 'tailpipe' really angled wrong or simply in the process of falling off?

Does the owner have a better chance of pulling birds Cool ?

We simply do not know the answers to these intriguing questions.

Is it an early 16V? Oh my god it could only be!

J & P Granger

PS. Check out how it should be done, see our car below

Hi James,

your car looks absolutely beautiful, congrats...

Do those wheels fit straight on or do they require spacers? (15" aren't they?)

All the best

Hi Ian,

I had a 1.3s (2 double webber carbs), and it went very very well... One of those cars that I will never forget until I die...Smile It had a very responsive engine and outclass most of the 1.4l cars around... Very fun to drive, You'll be amazed how it goes...

All the best

Hi Ian and Sergio,

Thanks for your interest in our 33. We have owned it since 1999, when I was 16 and my brother was 14, and have since restored/renovated it. We have not spent that much on it, other than necessary techincal overhauls such as suspension, belts etc. The car had oxidised paint (in typical fashion), and we renovated it simply by T-cutting and polishing with various waxes. We have also colour-coded the bumpers, mirrors and have added front mistlights, a rear spoiler and an (original Alfa 33) third brake light.

We have also fitted a K&N replacement panel filter (which draws in cold air rather than warm air as with cone filter elements) a Ragazzon exhaust and obviously the 15" Speedline alloys.

The exhuast gave notable performance improvement (of about 7 bhp). Being originally a Belgian car, it was factory fitted with a Group-N non-cat exhaust, so power was initially around 90 bhp. Together with the filter and exhaust, power lies around 100 bhp and the engine turns a lot smoother.

Due to the car's light weight it really flies, and performance is on a par with the Alfa 156 2.0 Selespeed Laughing

Sergio, the wheels didn't require any spacers but are very close to the Watt linkages due to their smaller offset. The wheels were also designed for 155 (Fiat-Alfa) hubs that are .5 mm smaller than on the 33; after some determination they went on!

Cheers
