Hi... Very Happy

So you adapted your original struts, welding threads on them, to fit an adjustable bottom plate for the spring...
The top plate of the spring is also adjustable???

I find this info very important, because i will be changing my front dampers in the next week, and i dont mind spending a few extra cash to get the best i can...
Did you make all this (one off), or did you get the parts of the shelf?

All the best
P.Camilo

Hello the struts look like normal production ones but they are not (only the outside tube). these are specialy built for my race car by the KONI race department. price for one strut is about 1500 euro.
All the rest of the parts are rebuilt and reshaped alfa parts. the disk is 284mm and the brake calipper is one from a 155 Q4.

Hi,
since this is after all bigger brakes topic Smile I'm sure that everyone here would like to know How did you mount those calipers on 33 wheel hub?
As far as I can tell from picture you saw off one caliper mount point on hub, and welded another one, that is flat from right side to mount those caliper mount?
If you have pictures of that all, it would be great.
I see on picture that you have spacers, is it to offset disc from hub or are they usual one made to offset wheels from disc?

p.s. How come you chose SportWagon for racing?

with regards,

there is no welding on the hub or caliper. it fits after puting all the parts in an CNC machine.

An SW? why not it has a weight of 840 kg

Of topic:

it is an 16v with carb´s gives 185 bhp

Thank you for answering,
unfortunatly I've spent 2 days thinking, along with 2 mechanical engeeneres that have CNC machines and none of them could find a way to put on that calipers on that hub, without extensive triming or similar.
If you have a pictures of it mounted, but from back/inside I would be gratefull.

That is racing sump (inner oil stop beams) with extra 2-3 lit of oil?
185hp you say, what is expected lifetime km(miles) all the same?

Hi,

That's an interesting base plate for the gearbox. Is that off one of the standard gearboxes as it looks quite strong and would aid cooling. I have a 1.2 sud gearbox on my 33 trackcar. Could you just let me know where it is from.

Thanks,

Edward.

I think it is off a Alfa 145/6 when they were fitted with the boxer engine.

If anyone has a spare one of these gearbox sump plates, I'd be most interested. Jas.
