HELP...
I have a 16v motor which will not rev up properly unless the throttle position connection is removed. without it engine runs fine but idles rough and too fast, as soon as i re-connect it it revs up and dies down, up and dies down, but nothing more...
It is not the sensor or the afm as i have changed these for known items.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Air leak downstream from the AFM?

Then....

Dirty switch contacts?

it could be the lambda sensor, they cause all types of problems, i had that type of problem on one of my 33s in the past i disconnected the lambda(you have to cut the wires - just make sure you leave enough wire to join it back up with some connectors or solder it)and it worked fine, i had already changed all the sensors ie throttle sensor, airflow sensor, temp sensor. good luck finding the problem
