Anyone going? Its next Sunday (11 June) at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth near Leicester. If you haven't been before its well worth it, last year there were over 100 Ferraris, 20+ Lamborghinis, about 80 Maseratis, plus loads of Alfas, Fiats, Lancias etc etc.
See www.auto-italia.co.uk (events section)
Maybe see you there although I will unfortunately be in my 145 as my 33 is a bit poorly at the moment!

Rich,
Although as you know I am a diehard 33 fan, I thought your 145 looked pretty good.
Regards,
Edward. _________________ The faster the better. |

Can't go to Auto-Italia, but will be at National Alfa Day near Kettering again the following Sunday (18th). Will you be there again Ed so you can tell us about your Spin round Nurburgring _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Thanks for the complement Edward - when did you see my 145?
Don't worry I'm not being unfaithful to 33s, they're still my favourite, its just that I needed something a little less elderly for everyday use - and incidentally they rust just as badly as 33s (mine is only 6 years old and already showing some worrying signs!) |

Rich,
The day that you collected the exhaust off me - in the rain at junction 16 M5!
Good to know i left such an impression!
Interesting about the rust on 145's. That is really quite supprising.

think you got the wrong man, Edward - I see I made a big impression!!
When we met I was in my 33 and we looked at rear disc conversions and engine changes!!! Thats why I wondered where you'd seen my 145!!
Yes, the rust is surprising - quite frankly I am appalled as I thought that the rust issues were resolved with the newer cars. Still the 145 is a good car, almost as good as a 33 but not quite!! |
