hi all i have just got a new car,not a 33 but a 145 cloverleaf on a w plate for a bargain price of £1170 .
went up to coventry on sunday at 10 pm because the man selling it was out all day and brought the car and didnt get in till 2.30 am (cheers alan for coming with me).
here are some pics of my old 33 and my new car.

yes it goes quite well feels very different from the 33 ,the acceleration is quite good as it seems low geared and the torque is good too as its a 2.0 litre 16v cloverleaf with stainless exhaust.
p.s i do miss my 33 if i had enough money and a spare garage i would have both.

Hi Ben,

They have a glovebox - but it's only big enough for about 2 cd's.

having a small glovebox is a small price to pay for a nice car that is fun to drive as it is a 145 cloverleaf 2.0 16v 150 bhp with stainless exhaust which should give it a bit more and air con,abs,air bags in steering wheel,passenger side and in sides of front seats ,electric sunroof,electric windows and one of the main reasons for getting one is that it wont rust as bad.
im not putting the 33 down as it is a nice car and i would have another one but i have to drop my kids to nursery in the morning and thought of the safety aspect as well.

I know mate... we don't mean it really! I myself had a 146.

Keep the oil level on the max at all times is my advice regarding the TS engine!

i`m only taking the p*** aswell , they are alot stronger and safer and generally better built. my mates got one and it is wierd though, the space in the pass seat in front of the passenger, its like they just forget to put something there ie a bigger glovebox.

We got the 145/146 in NZ, but 90% of them are 1600cc. I've only seen one 145QV and one 146Ti in real life, and from what I hear those are the only variants to bother with. The extra weight from aircon, airbags and electric sunroofs etc means a 1600 boxer can't pull it along very fast!

yeah my mate has got the 1.7 16v and it is not very quick, its not just all the new electric bits that make it heavy its strengthening on the body to make them safer in a crash as we all know you dont want to have a crash in a 33 (tin foil is stronger)

I've got one of these too! I don't know if you realised Pat but this is a facelift car (kind of a series 2 if you like) and it actually has 155bhp, whereas the earlier ones have 150bhp.

I find the 145 more relaxing to drive and a bit quicker than my 33 1.7IE but its not as much fun (and once my 33 has its new 16v engine installed, I think my 33 will be quicker!). I don't know how you find the handling - I was dubious when I got mine as the high driving position makes the car feel a bit top heavy, but after doing a track day I was really impressed with how well the 145 corners.

Not sure what all the fuss is about with the glovebox - the 33 glovebox ain't exactly massive is it? and at least the 145 has door bins and a centre cubbyhole thingy.

Anyway, enjoy the 145 and hope it aint too expensive to run (mine is a total money pit!! I've spent at least £7k on it in 3 years!! and thats all maintenance and repairs, not modifying!!)

hi rich yes i have joined the 145 website thats where i saw the car for sale .
the car should cost me less to run as my brother is a alfa technician ,
i find that the car does accelarate quite quickly ,it feels completely different from my 33s that i owned in the past ive always prefered the 1.7 carb 33s as they were more responsive and seemed to go more quicker from low revs as the 16v you had to wait till they reved up also prefer the sound of the carbs with air filters but the best handling 33 that i owned was a p4.
