brake light comes on when braking i havent checked anything out due to heavy down pour tonight any sugestions car only done 300 miles since last mot

Hi,

I guess you mean the warning light. It could be either the pads are worn, if you have the pads with the "sensors" in them or you are low on brake fluid. Worth also looking at the rear brake lights.
