My electromagnetic coupling has gone & is making a right racket when I drive the car - been told a gearbox change is needed...anyone have one???

are you sure its the coupling and we are on about a p4 i presume

I have a gearbox here, but how can I tell if the electromagnetic couple is okay on this one?
