|
|
Hello everyone
I've got my engine back in and trying to start it this afternoon I got a big backfire. I'm thinking it's because the timing is way off and it's sparking when the exhaust valve is open?
If this is the case how do I get the timing good enough to start it? and if it's not timing any ideas on what it could be?
Don't be shy, I need help.
Thanks |

Know it's fairly obvious, but got your leads in the right places? There's only so much movement in the distributor timing. Water in exhaust, belts? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Checked the plug order this morning and what do you know, I got it wrong. I even printed the page from the manual with the diagram of the order and still got it wrong.
It still won't start though. I'll see if it's sparking tomorrow and that I've got the fuel lines right.
