In between the throttle body and the cylinder head is a non-metallic sandwich plate. The ones I have got have cracks growing from the water gallery hole . Anyone know where I can get either new, or very good s/hand, or what material it is I could make some others from or what happens if they arent fitted ?
Does this just act as a heat barrier to stop the throttle bodies getting to hot?
HELP

Hi,
They are a heat barrier i think. They should still be available from alfa dealer and alfashop. You need to replace the pair of gaskets either side (ie the bread!) as they have a kinda rubbery band glued on them. May or may not get away with instant gasket/ hylomar???

| Mine were slightly cracked when i took them off. A little bit of instant gasket did the job for me with no problems to date. |
