Hello fellow 33 owners.
I just bought me an older 33 1,7 1988 and there are some stuff that I wanna fix and want to no more about.
problem 1: clicking sound when steering.
problem 2: the car shakes and pulls to the left at high speeds, wheel adjustmeent needed?
problem 3: sometimes the km/h meter (dont really know what to call it in english) goes beserk and goes jumping up and down, a good punch on the panel gets it working again.
problem 4?: I think it a little to hot but i'm not sure, 80-120 degrees celsius depending on how I drive
thanks |

The clicking is the indicator return on the column catcing somewhere I think.
The speedo is electronic and there is a connection on back of it,take top off instruments and clean it.
There is also a connector block under the bonnet near the master cylinder on a RHD car, check this also.
Normal running temp is around 80deg. in my car, rising when in traffic.
Not sure about your steering problem, could be one of many things.
Hope this helps

Problems 1 and 2 could be related to the notorious bearing, which is under the lower spring support dish. When that fails (happens very often) there is a clicking sound when steering. That is heard the best when standing next to one of the front wheels. Then also the car pulls to one side, especially when you just made a sharper turn.
Just a hint.
