Is it worth buying new mixture screws?

I'm buying new idle jets on ebay and wondering whether to invest in new screws also.

I am told that the tips can get worn, but that this is unusual.

well I've just bought some new idle and main jets from Italy.
Pretty sure my 22 year old jets are worn out and not all equally the same size.

Should make tuning the mixture screws easier/more equal.

Very true. Even if I have the mixture screws turned out the same, if the jets are slightly different then I'll get unbalanced mixtures.

I checked my plugs after 30km yesterday and they were all slightly different.

1 was perfect, a nice brown, the other 3 a little rich, but not too much.

Also thinking of buying this:

Getting excited now. My new main and idle jets are coming in less than 2 weeks and also my wideband Bosch O2 sensor complete kit.

Will have fun with that.
(a friend told me: ah you'll end up buying a fuel injected 33 eventually!!) lol where's the fun in that?

Carbs and non-power steering are far more immediate and direct.
