Thought it was just a loose connection at the back.
Cleaned them all out including the earth and lamps.
Nothing.
Got my DMM out and no voltage on the yellow black wire!!!
But at the fuse box (fuses 9/10) I get 14 volts on both of them.
So could I have a break in the wire somewhere down the line under the carpet?
Got a 200 km trip tomorrow into the country!
Does the same positive wire feed both rear lights? Could be the connecting one. strange
If I connect a wire from the positive pin from the working left light to the right pin connector would this work? _________________ S2 33 1988 1.7 QV

Apparently there is a 10 pin connector under the rear seat which feeds the tail lights.
Guess I'll need to check that.
fuses all ok. _________________ S2 33 1988 1.7 QV

Fixed for now.
Wire from connector under back seat to front of car had a break in it somewhere.
Bridged it to another wire and all ok. _________________ S2 33 1988 1.7 QV
